We have recently updated our computer software to include Solidworks and AutoCAD for the drafting of technical drawings and 3D models.
RS designs, another facet in the RS Group, enables the “in house” design of components, and is an invaluable tool in engineering and manufacture.
Running the RS design department, Andor Hegedus has joined the team and RS can now design and manufacture to the highest levels in the industry.
Andor Hegedus, originally from Hungary, is at the cutting edge or CAD design and has been a huge asset in the short time he has been with RS fabrications.
Andor graduated High School with a degree in IT and came over to England to further his education and work in the motosport industry.
Currently studying Motorsport Engineering at the Bicester Performance Centre with Oxford Brooks University, Andor generated interest from F1 and rally teams, BMW and Faurecia but opted to join Russell & Shane and spearhead the RS design office.
A few examples of the projects that he has been involved with: Pit Equipment design and fabrication for Lotus F1 and Virgin Racing, Audi RS6 V10 and Toyota AE86 double calliper brake assembly design, prototyping and installation, design of a fuel bowser for race car fuel management, etc. In his free time Andor is responsible for the design of the off-road buggy university project.
