RS Vantage Aston Martin Manifolds back from Zircotec
filed in News on Aug.17, 2012
The R & D manifolds manufactured for the RS Fabrications Vantage have been picked up and delivered to Bamford Rose for fitment to “Alan”, along with other performance parts.
RS Fabrications have worked closely with Zircotec and have used their Plasma-sprayed Ceramic Coating on many projects in the past.
” Linda was my first contact at Zircotec when Shane & Wayne finished the welding on the development manifolds” said Russell, ” we understand the thermal protection that this process offers and that is why we are an authorised distributor” he continued.
“We opted for the Metallic Black Finish, shown here, and the look is fantastic! We are also looking forward to see the results in under bonnet temperatures on Alan, our R & D Vantage, once Bamford Rose have completed the installation”
Zircotec offer a range of durable colour finishes which inhibits the transfer of heat from the surface of the material, holding the temperature within the exhaust gas, protecting nearby components and offering a significant reduction in external manifold temperature.
“We also had the catalytic convertors coated, as we anticipate this will help with the operating temps associated with the 200 Cell Catalytic Converters”.
Time will tell!
