Maria Costello MBE is currently running a Kawasaki ER6 Super twin and the front wheel she is using is a modified ZX6R item.

Larger bearings are used in this application, and the wheel had to be machined to fit the new diameter bearings.

In 2009 she was recognised for services to motorcycling and awarded with an MBE from Prince Charles, acknowladging her as a champion of women in sport. She also holds the Guinness World Record for being the fastest woman to lap the famous Isle of Man TT circuit as well as taking a podium in the Ultra Lightweight Category in 2005 racing a RLR Motorsports Honda RVF400.

Maria’s front wheel  was clocked up on the mill and new bearing seats machined into the hub. A new bearing spacer was turned on the lathe and the new the bearings installed to complete the upgrade.
