Conrad AE 86After extensive modification at RS Fabrications, Conrad Bradley’s AE 86 finally went through RS Racepaint last week.

Fabrication involved mounting a Beams Toyota engine in the Corolla engine bay and the chassis received a full 16 pint Roll Cage.

Weeks rolled into months for this project with new parts arriving weekly for the build. No expense has been spared on this AE 86.

Painted in White, the chassis was immaculately prepared by Graham Davis at the RS Racepaint facility in Banbury.

“What you do at this stage dictates what you get when you lay the paint on” Graham pointed out.

The transmission tunnel and front footwell received alot of attention during the fabrication with all parts being pre-fitted for a seat fitting last month. An extra 100mm was gained by moving the Tilton Pedal Box assembly forward into a fabricated box, welded into the footwell/firewall panels.

Further work, and build on this project, will continue back at RS Fabrications’ new extended workshop. Two dedicated Vehicle Build Bays are currently under construction and Conrads AE 86 will be completed in this new area.
