Ford RS 2000 Re-Built using RS Fabrications Body Spits
filed in News on Feb.22, 2009
Local Banbury Paintsprayer “Goldie” has finished his Midnight Blue RS 2000.
Goldie had RS Fabrications help with the restoration work on his Ford RS 2000.
RS Fabrications Body Spits [currently manufactured for the MK 1 & 2 Escorts] were used to fabricate and re-weld sections of the shell that were completely gone, due to advanced corrosion.
Phil “Loon Dog” said ” it made life easy with the RS Spits, and a must for any restoration”. Loon susequently sorted out all the panelwork and the end result is a fantastic period RS 2000.
Goldie, gun in hand, has often been seen in Banbury putting down some of the best paintwork this side of Oxford.
Shane pointed out, “I’m sure Goldie will be spotted “in and around” RS Racepaint, our new paintshop facility in Banbury. Someone who can lay paint down like this wont be far away!!”
Goldie’s RS 2000, pictured above in our workshop for final prep, is absolutely immaculate. Look out for a feature on the vehicle in an upcoming Retro Ford magazine article in 2009.
