Simon Morton’s Triton Cafe Racer is featured in Feb 2009 Classic Bike magazine.
Simon’s first British Cafe Racer puts a Triumph Trident Engine into a Norton Featherbed Frame.
“RS Fabrications crafted the neat three into one exhaust system in stainless steel…………….The vertical downpipes clamp neatly to the ports, while tension springs hold the collector box assembly together and the integral reverse cone silencer hangs on a bonded rubber ‘cotton reel’……”
Using old “works” specifications and photographs, specific diameter stainless steel mandrel bends were produced for this project, with Shane fabricating the racing 3 into 1 merged collector and downpipes, while Russell fabricated the re-packable reverse cone silencer .
“It cost and arm and a leg, but was one of my best purchases. Everything fits so well and the welding is so beautiful that I didn’t attempt to polish it out”
The complete result is a work of art, bring your earplugs!!!!!!!
